Finding the new leader for America’s Manufacturing was Sea Change’s first engagement with Ford. We partnered with Ford from the ground up to map the entire marketplace across multiple sectors, seeking an individual who could become the first outsider to take on a leadership role within Ford in over 100 years. This search helped initiate Ford’s renewed drive to return to the podium in manufacturing excellence. Our work included mapping talent across semiconductor, aerospace, medical devices, and advanced technology sectors to identify someone capable of operating at the scale Ford required.
Our subsequent placements have followed the same philosophy—bringing in outside leaders to drive cultural and workplace transformation across Ford’s key business units. We’re proud to have built a strong candidate pool for completed searches, and we continue to support Ford as it reshapes the organization.
Tasks
Since 2022, we’ve helped Ford recruit external leaders to drive its future model, including executives who moved from automotive to power electronics and have led teams of up to 120,000, bringing outside expertise into Ford for the first time in a century. We continue to hire for them today.
