Liminal, (formerly Feasible) a battery manufacturing intelligence company, engaged us after larger firms failed to deliver. We were brought in to build their technical product and engineering team, working within firm requirements on role scope, culture fit, and compensation. We aligned the search to their bar for impact and collaboration, calibrated comp to market while honoring their guardrails, and delivered candidates who could ship production-grade tools for cell manufacturing.
Tasks
Tight talent box: candidates had to be Bay Area–based (on-site for labs/manufacturing partners) and not require visa sponsorship, immediately shrinking the pool. Add niche domain needs (battery manufacturing intelligence, data/ML + hardware-savvy), production-grade product/engineering experience, and Liminal’s firm culture and compensation guardrails—the result was a small, highly selective market that required targeted sourcing and rigorous screening. We continue to hire for them today.
