Highlights
Swell engaged us to build a Bay Area–based technical and product team to develop and scale its platform. We also staffed and stood up a Bay Area test lab to accelerate hardware-in-the-loop validation. The team’s focus is delivering energy security with solar, storage, and smart controls, forming virtual power plants and optimizing customer and grid energy use.
Tasks
Hiring was constrained by location and on site needs in the Bay Area, which narrowed the pool. We were also recruiting during an active fundraise that did not close, creating candidate risk concerns and, ultimately, the company ceased operations. Despite this, we maintained momentum, set a clear talent blueprint, and secured candidates aligned to the mission and build plan.
